Mr. Krishna Sankar Bandyopadhyay joined NTPC School of Business (NSB) as a faculty member on September 01, 2021. He teaches energy market and electricity derivatives. He is an international consultant who works in the Cross Border Electricity Trade (CBET) domain to develop institutional arrangements and regulatory frameworks to facilitate bilateral / multi-country electricity trade conventional & RE power to establish protocols for energy accounting, scheduling balancing and trade of bundled power, etc.

Krishna is an Electrical Engineer with MBA and LL.B Degree. He has over 37 years of work experience with NTPC Ltd, a leading power utility company in India. He is the former Executive Director of NTPC, and his experience covers 17 years in Power Trading, Cross Border Supply of Power in the South Asian Region covering Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan, Power Exchange & Renewable Energy Sector and worked 20 years in the Operation and Maintenance of NTPC Super Thermal Power Stations.
