Dr Narendran is an expert in the field of HRD and well-known in the area of employee-driven voluntary learning movement in the industry to make jobs simpler, enjoyable and effective. He  has over 3 decades of corporate experience where his innovative powerful L&D interventions for transforming organization resulted exemplary benefits, both financial and non-financial, against measurable parameters..  

·       His path-breaking approach of holistic development of employees proving huge sustainable benefits to organization through self-driven improvement projects by application of learning from work integrated behavioural and technical training modules. Establishment of BITS Off-Campus, Collaborative work-integrated learning programme leading to B.S.(Process Engg.) Degree Program in 2006 to enhance technical and professional competence of employees are some of his innovative learning initiatives resulting huge benefits to the organization. These Innovative Best HRD Practices won not only many National and International Awards including ISTD National Award for Best Innovative HRD Practices (2002) and Golden Peacock National Award for Innovative Training (2006), but also the Best Employer Award in India and Asia for HZL Vedanta. On invitation, he has shared the path-breaking successful initiatives to most of the major organizations in India since 2002 as a learning movement. Dr. Narendran has also to his credit rich experience of over 30 years as a visiting faculty / management counselor in many Universities in India & abroad and as a trainer, researcher and consultant to many public and private sectors.  He has chaired / presented papers in over 27 International Conferences in different countries like USA, Thailand, Vietnam, Egypt, Singapore, Indonesia & Malaysia.  As part of his curiosity for learning / sharing experiences,  also visited Harvard Business School (July 2013), prestigious Universities like Columbia, Princeton, Yale, Washington, Cambridge, Montclair State University, South Connecticut in USA during 2010 & 2013, Singapore Management University (2011), Hanoi University of Technology (2003), Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok (2004), Dubai Police Academy (2014).

He held many positions at the ISTD chapter / national level for the last over 3 decades including Jt. Secretary, Treasurer, Hony.Secretary, Chairman at the Chapter level and Regional Vice President (North) twice (2000-01 & 2010-11), Chairman/Vice Chairman/Member in many national level & IFTDO committees including ISTD National Awards Committees since 1997 and member Finance Committee 2018 onwards.  He is also life member of National HRD Network since 1995.
