Dr. Ambika Prasad Dash, FDPM from IIM, Ahmedabad, is a NTPC School of Business (NSB) professor. Before NSB, he was director of Symbiosis University. He was also General Manager (GM) of NTPC Ltd., a public sector giant in the power sector and a ‘MAHARATNA’ today for 17 years. He has more than 21 years of administrative experience as well.

INDUSTRY AND TEACHING EXP: He has close to 32 years of full-time PG teaching experience in MBA/PGDM/M.COM in Finance, Security Analysis, M&A and Project Management. He has more than 17 years of industry experience in the power sector (NTPC Ltd.). He was also the Dy. CKO of NTPC Ltd.

GUEST FACULTY: He has been invited by Institutes like MDI, Gurgaon, IMT, Ghaziabad, Fore School of Management, FMS and IMI, New Delhi to take guest lectures & develop a curriculum. 

CONSULTANCY: His internal consultancy includes the implementation of a Balanced Scorecard at the Simhadri and Ramgundam projects of NTPC. His recent consultancy projects include - Manpower planning in THDC, TNA of UPPTCL & Corporate Plan: Vision 2037 of Neepco. 

MDPs & RESEARCH: He has produced seven Ph.D. Students and guided more than 175 MBA projects during his academic career. Since 2020, he and his group have conducted nearly 200 MDPs/conferences in Management and techno-managerial domains.

GLOBAL MDPs: In 2006, he conducted an International Conference on Strategic Management for Global Competitiveness in Singapore, an international program in Geneva, Switzerland, on Corporate governance in 2008 and an international conference on data analytics in Dubai in 2014. He has also conducted a customised MDP for REC at France and Italy with ESCP, Paris. In 2023, he completed one MDP at Singapore for Neepco

AICTE & UGC: He has been an expert with AICTE for AICTE recognition of Institutes and a member of the Standing Complaint Scrutiny Committee of AICTE. He is presently an expert on the UGC accreditation process.

BOOK & RECOGNITION: He got the BEST FACULTY AWARD –from AIMA-NMA (2005). He has been recognised as an International Trainer in Finance by the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME), USA. In 2016, he was awarded the 100 Most Influential Director in India. He has published seven books and more than 30 articles on various topics. His books are in the areas of:
