The Sungrow SG250HX-20 is a 250kW three-phase grid-tie string inverter for 1500Vdc systems, built for utility-scale solar plants.
Six independent MPPTs each accept 65A and up to four input connectors, giving 24 total inputs and 390A of input current — enough flexibility to serve widely varying DC/AC ratios and module types across a large site. The MPP window spans 500–1500V with a 550V startup. Max efficiency reaches 99.02% with 98.8% European efficiency, among the highest in the industry.
An intelligent DC switch automatically cuts off faulted strings, and 24-hour real-time AC and DC insulation monitoring catches degradation before it becomes a failure. Type II surge protection is fitted on both DC and AC sides.
Output is 250kW at 40°C, or 275kVA apparent power at 35°C, at 800V AC. The IP66 enclosure carries a C5 design rating with low temperature rise for long service life in harsh environments.
At approximately 106kg it is designed for pole or rack mounting on large arrays.
