Sungrow SP600S Power Optimizer 600W for Solar PV Modules

The Sungrow SP600S is a module-level power optimizer that mounts to the back of an individual solar panel, tracking each module's maximum power point independently instead of letting the weakest panel limit the whole string. On roofs with shading from chimneys, dormers or trees — or arrays split across different orientations and tilt angles — this lifts generation by up to 30%. Smart Shade-Proof technology adds up to 0.5% system efficiency, and the optimizer itself runs at 99.5% max efficiency with 99.0% weighted efficiency, so very little is lost in the conditioning. Rapid shutdown drops each optimizer to 1V and the string to 30V within 20 seconds when AC power is cut, meeting fire safety requirements for rooftop systems. A bypass working mode keeps the string producing if an individual optimizer is taken out of service. Module-level IV scanning and diagnosis identifies underperforming panels remotely with four typical fault diagnoses, and data refreshes every 10 seconds over powerline communication up to 350m — no extra cabling. A patented mounting structure cuts installation time by up to 45%, with push-in or bolt fixing and MC4 or MC4-compatible connectors. Rated for 450–695W modules with a 20A short-circuit input, IP68 sealed with a C5 anti-corrosion rating, operating from -40°C to +85°C up to 4000m altitude. At 86 × 108 × 25mm and 0.5kg including cables, it adds negligible load to the mounting system. Compatible with Sungrow SG2.0–10RS, SH3.0–6.0RS, SG5.0–20RT-P2 and SG25–125CX-P2 inverters.
